The shape and display size of the Next Galaxy aka the Samsung Galaxy S3 may have been confirmed for sure this time, thanks to the guys over at Unwire HK, who got hold of a screen protector supposedly designed for the Galaxy S3. No one makes screen protectors without knowing the design of the device they are making it for, so it gives us a good idea of the size of the device at the very least. A South Korean screen protector manufacturer called Colorant, has launched a new screen protector which is simply named Ultimate Screen Guard (USG) for the unannounced Samsung Galaxy S3, according to Unwire HK.
A few things are confirmed by this screen protector. The first thing is the name. On the case of the protectors, it says “for Samsung Galaxy SIII”. Since there was a lot of controversy about it after the “New iPad”, and it being called the “Next Galaxy” in the Samsung Mobile Unlocked 2012 invitation. Now, we can be pretty sure that this device is going to be called the Samsung Galaxy SIII.
The screen protector was overlaid it on several other devices to know the size of the handset. It was placed on the original Galaxy S2. The protector was larger than the 4.3 inch display. Even when compared with the 4.7 inch HTC One X, the protector turned out to be large. This ensures that the Galaxy S3 will have a 4.8 inch display.
The shape of the screen protector supports the design in the rumors as well. It has a dedicated menu button below the capacitive touch button of the HTC One X. This confirms the presence of the physical home button as rumored before.
Galaxy S3 will be launched on May 3rd in London. After its launch, we can come to know about those rumors that are true. Stay tuned to your updates about the Galaxy S3.
